To Create a Storage Device

In the eB System Management Console (Start > All Programs > Bentley > eB > eB System Management Console) Explorer pane, click the + sign next to the server name to expand the contents.

Click Storage to show the list of storage devices and the communities served by the devices.

From the main menu, click Storage > Add Device. The New Device Properties dialog opens.

In the Name field, enter a logical name. The Description field is optional.

From the Driver drop-down list, select Windows File Driver.

From the Speed drop-down list, select Fast.

In the Root Access field, type the root location.

Click OK to exit the New Device Properties dialog.

Note: If the checkbox is not already checked, turn on the Community that will be using the storage devices in the Communities Served section. If prompted, enter the credentials of the default eB administrator account (ADMIN / ADMIN)and click OK. The storage device is now added to the Community.
